SymFynity is free forever. The platform starts with a conversation.
Self-hosting SymFynity costs nothing and always will. It isn't crippled without us, and there's no tier of it that we hold back. If that's all you ever need, take it — that's the point of shipping it that way.
SymFynity is source-available under BSL 1.1, which isn't the same as open source and we won't pretend otherwise. In practice the difference reaches you only if you try to resell SymFynity as a hosted service competing with us. Running it in production, on your own infrastructure, for your own traffic, is explicitly free — and four years after each release, that version turns Apache-2.0 on its own.

Because we'd be making it up.
We're onboarding early customers by hand — deliberately. Every account is activated manually, which means we talk to you before you can send us a single event. That's a real constraint in the product, not a growth tactic.
Publishing tiers now would mean inventing numbers before we understand what the platform is worth to the people using it. You'd anchor on them, we'd regret them, and one of us would be wrong. Ask us instead — and if SymFynity on its own covers you, we'll say so.
